I've been having on and off pain for 8mts plus in my upper left corner, it radiates partly in the upper middle as well. Should I make a ER visit?
Abdominal pain : 8 months of pain deserves a little more respect. Please do go to ER if you have no primary care provider. A CT scan might be revealing. Pancreatitis can be another possibility. Also get pancreatic enzymes, lipase and amylase. Did you have any traumatic experience such as car accident? Spleen is a important organ in upper left abdomen. ...Read more

Why can't the doctors figure out why i keep having chest pain one ER visit tonight the other ER visit two months ago .
Chest pain: There are many possible causes for chest pain, when you go to er they often concentrate on ruling out a heart attack and may not work through the myriad of other possibilities. See your primary care doctor with the request to work through the possibilities for your chest pain. ...Read more
Hello, not sure when i conceived, but after an ER visit, my hCG was 318 on jan5th then 1033 on jan7th. About how far along am i?
Approx 10 weeks: If your level was around 1000 on jan 7th, then at that point you were about 5 weeks along (and this is an approximation). Looking at a calendar, i'd say you're about 10 weeks now (feb 12). Remember, the convention is "menstrual weeks", assuming a 28 day cycle. So if we say you are 10 weeks along, that is actually 8 weeks since conception. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I suspect an Iud perforation has occurred. I have an appt. on Thurs., but wonder if this is more urgent (i.e an expensive ER visit)?
Signs?: It's fairly rare (1/1,000) and usually w/ a new insertion. In any case, I'd hope the doctor could make a special appt if there is cause. Urge them politely but firmly. Warning signs include severe abdominal pain, heavy or abnormal bleeding, and a smelly vaginal discharge. Also, many ERs do offer help w/ bill if you need it lowered. Ask about it. It can lower anxiety for future possible needs.Best! ...Read more

Gallbladdr at 6%ej but can't get surgery consult for another week. Moderate pain, borderline ER visit. Can I take hydrocodone to relieve it? 22yr F.
Sure.: I assume that you are referring to a HIDA scan that revealed an ejection fraction of 6%. This would be consistent with consideration for cholecystectomy. Abdominal pain can be relieved by narcotics. For any greatly increased pain associated with fever, nausea, vomiting or jaundice, an ER visit would be warranted. ...Read more
