I was wondering if epididymitis is in the epididymis why would my fiances ball swell up to the size of a pear?
Epididymo-orchitis.: You are correct in understanding that the epididymis is an appendage of the testicle. However, they are connected, and infections of the epididymis (epididymitis) can lead to infection or at least inflammation of the testicle (orchitis). This inflammatory response causes pain, fullness, swelling, and warmth in the scrotum. He needs evaluation to make sure he is getting appropriately treated. ...Read more
Must have asked an unclear question. 'can epididymis be felt on one testicle but not on the other one? ' epididymis. Not epididymitis.
Possible: Palpating the epididymis may be more pronounced on one side compared to the other. Palpating the epididymis in general may be difficult. If you have had inflammation/infection of one, it may get more pronounced and then more easily palpable at future visits, etc. If any concern for masses, etc, and ultrasound of the testes/scrotum would assess the anatomy in question. Best wishes to you. ...Read more
Do mild epididymitis cause sperms to be obstructed? Also, how do I tell if my epididymis have been damaged?
Does all epididymitis or any infection in the epididymis show signs and symptoms? I don't have any symptoms but I'm just worried.
Is this possible that u have epididymitis and there is no swelling every time. My epididymis swells sometimes and it tenders when touched. What is it?
Ultrasound?: There is no way of diagnosing this over the internet, sorry. You could get a recurrent epididymitis, but it would be unlikely to resolve on it's own. You may also have a varicocoele. This is a group of varicose veins in the scrotum. The only way to solve the issue would be an exam and ultrasound if needed. ...Read more
I can feel my right epididymis but can't feel the left one. My right epididymis sometimes tenders and swells. Is it inflamed? Epididymitis? Treatment?
Infection: It sounds like you may have epididymitis. This is an infection or inflammation in the epididymus (the part of the testicle that holds sperm). This is basically the male version of a uti, which is much less common in men than women. This is definitely worth a visit to the doc for proper treatment. ...Read more

Chronic epididymitis not getting cured, pain in right leg and right epididymis for 10 months? Please help, I can't afford anymore hospitals.
See below: Usually in cases of true infectious epididymitis, the pain and swelling will resolve for the most part during or after treatment with antibiotics, although residual soreness may persist for several more days or even weeks. In rare instances, chronic pain may develop. If your pain has persisted for more than 3 months, you need to consult an urologist. ...Read more

I got diagnosed with epididymitis about 4 or 5 weeks ago. The doctor determined it to just be inflammation. Why are still swollen? And sore sometime

Went 2 ER 4 inflamed testicle pain groin, and swollen lymph nodes in my leg I had an ultrasound they said I had epididymitis now my penis is inflamed?
Reevaluation: You should be on antibiotics. If you are and you are getting worse so that the infection has spread to your penis, then you need to be evaluated. Inflammation of the skin is termed cellulitis, and should be controlled as soon as possible. Go back to the er first since they will be able to document any changes and contact an appropriate specialist. ...Read more

Is it normal to have enlarged or swollen epididymus on the left testicle? I recently done scrotum usg and the report says this.
Swollen & painful lymph node in right groin area between pelvis and right thigh. Had it for ages but recently enlarged after vaccinations. What is it?
Regional adenopathy: For a young man with a history of STI I will rather investigate the possibility of another STI as the nodes in this region are commonly affected with such infections. Assessment of infection in the lower extremities and other more serious pathologies should be screened out. I will like to recommend a consult with Infectious Dse. MD in the network for continued evaluation. Take care. ...Read more
Swollen groin lymph nodes that are tender to touch & feel enlarged. Given 10 days of keflex, no change. Mri of pelvis did not reveal any swollen nodes?
MRSA cellulitis?: Are they really lymph nodes and not localized skin infections? The fact that they are painful suggests infection. The lack of response to Keflex suggests methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (mrsa). I would recommend seeing your doctor and getting a medication that works for MRSA in your community (could be Clindamycin or bactrim; your local doctor will know best). ...Read more
My testicle has swollen up to size of kiwi. I've had epidymitis before. Is this a repeat of the same condition or possiblypossibly cancer?
Swollen Testicle: Testicular cancer risk peaks in your 30's. It is typically a painless hard nodule found on the testicle. 72h after getting kicked in the right testis, have swollen and warm testicle. I guess it is epidimitis. How much time will it go away without treatment?
I suddenly discovered a painless lump over the right epididymis 1 year ago. It is now 0.5 cm. Suddenly it become painful and swollen. What to do?
Ask your doc...: Most likely, it is just an innocuous epididymal cyst and unnecessary to do anything with it. Any procedure on it will likely result in a state of blocking a vase deferens - vasectomy. So, try taking antibiotics like doxycycleine or Levaquin (levofloxacin) or Bactrim-DS x 5-7 days and see, or just watch, wait, and see. More? Ask your urologist, or contact www. HealthTap. Will swollen epididymis from over masturbation go back to normal? There is pain in the crotch area.
Inflamed epididymis and swollen testicals but no infection, subsides when lying down and worse when active, what could this be?
Scrotal swelling: Scrotal swelling may be associated with fullness of the contents including testicles, veins, or fluid retention. If it is not painful, this is generally a good sign. Causes may include hydrocele (fluid collection) or varicocele (vein engorgement). These are both relatively benign and should not cause concern. ...Read more
Sex with girlfriend 1 year ago, she pulled my testicles. Left epididymis swollen and hurts time to time, feels/looks stretched away from testicle.?
Unlikely related...: Once pulled testicles would very unlikely left such lingering sequel beyond one year. At 22, I would advise to analyze the onset, duration, interval, progress, evolution, resolution, etc. Of pain as well as sex lifestyle + timely physical exam + testing as needed so to at least rule out: torsion or STD-/UTI-related epididymitis. How? Follow advice inhttp://formefirst. Com/eNewsletter06.html. ...Read more
