Infection: Your low grade fever, headache, vomiting, and an increase in the WBC celll (11.47) with an excess percentage of neurtrophils (92%) all argue for an infectious process (possible a viral infection). There is nothing in your story to suggest cancer or a "brain infection" If your symptoms get worse or the fever persists you should see your physician. You could take 500mg of Tylenol (acetaminophen) now for the fever. ...Read more

Suspect?: Please send us your serial WBC counts done so far. You need to do some more CBC tests and see how your WBC count would change over a few months before we can be certain as to what is causing the high WBC counts. There is no rush for doing any other tests for the next few months unless WBC count keeps rising. ...Read more
Saw ENT,poss Warthins tmr of left parotid tail. Tiny, cystic. Bx hard bc size.10mm.Been there years,no grow.ENT recommends come back 6mos.Cancer rare?
ENT is right: Warthin tumors are benign and if there are no symptoms do not be in a hurry to have surgery. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex. ...Read more

Lymph nodes: Lymph node service the garbage collector for any type of infection. Any infection causes them to enlarge and process the foreign invader. Normal lymph nodes in the neck can be up to 1.5 cm. Ultrasound is a good test to determine the make up of the lymph nodes but sometimes requires fine needle or open biopsy to fully determine cause of the swelling. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

A bit more needed: I suggest you review the report either with the doctor who ordered it or a specialist they refer you to or arrange a virtual visit during which you share the whole report The meaning will be easier to understand with the whole report in hand. Tt(2mo. Ago, pap carc.), 3mm tumor, no rai, TSH 33, tgab 70(140% jump post-op), tg <.02. Endo waiting 2mo. To eval. Is onocologist warranted?
Wait.: Doesn't sound like you need oncologist as your tumor has been removed - it was really very tiny. 3 mm? A micro carcinoma. How did one find this? I wonder if this was just an incidental finding. Tumors of this size are not uncommon and their clinical significance is not well understood. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Immunodeficiency : I'm worried about your overall health. To have those biopsy findings you mentioned is a concern, now if you have enlarged lymph nodes I wonder if this is connected to your earlier presentation. Hopefully your primary doc is working hard to help you out. I hope u can see an ID doctor as part of it all- I would be very interested to know "what" your immune system is or isn't doing-and know how2 help ...Read more
Always had high ana. Went to new md, tested ANA neg. Md discounted sx. 1 month later, saw new md, did ANA & ANA was 1:640. Now treated. Different lab?
Yes, but...: The anti-nuclear antibody test is fraught with problems in the lab and results are often in error. However, it's unwise to base a clinical decision on serial ana's. The ANA is often up in healthy people, though seldom this high. It's not helpful for following illnesses, and a high titer (even once) merely helps rule lupus, autoimmune hepatitis, etc. In or out. "treat you, not your labs.". ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Abt 9-month back, it was Hb(11.7), PCV(36), RBC(4), MCV(91), MCH(29), MCHC(32.3), WBC(6K), Pt(1.5L) & ESR(39). Anything we can conclude here ?
Nothing serious: You need to tell us more information. Why did you have your CBC(Blood count) checked? If you feel well, there is nothing further to be done except a repeat CBC if you want to double check your Hemoglobin which is slightly low. But the test results are always somewhat variable from one time to the next. Aim for a Hb of 12Gms or over. ...Read more

Whats wrong? (red, hard, tender, swollen, noitch, painful, lump, nopus, in-grown) inner-left buttock; half-year long;teen;good hygiene;no drugs no doctor apt.
Perianal abscess: This is most likely a perianal abscess. You can think of it sort of like a pimple. It's basically a gland that gets clogged and then infected with bacteria. Don't worry, it usually doesn't have anything to do with hygeine. Try sitting in a warm bath with epsom salts to help soften up the area. If it gets worse, sometimes it needs to be surgically drained. ...Read more
