The : The ct will be able to detect cancer if present. To answer your question, with any enlargement of organs there is a chance of cancer. However, there are also many other causes as well (fatty liver, liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, sickle cell disease etc.) hopefully your doctors will be able to figure out exactly the cause of your hepatosplenomegaly (enlarged liver and spleen) and come up with a treatment plan. Insist on an answer: Junior needs to be seen. Cancer's unlike at 17 without a strong family history. If there is any concern that this is serious disease, he needs colonoscopy.
