It is not likely..: Fatty liver by itself typically does not cause pain. Acute hepatitis--either from infection/alcohol/or drugs can cause pain, but you will have other symptoms as well. From knowing a bit of your history (you have lost 52lbs in 6 months and liver is only "borderline fatty"), i sincerely doubt the liver is the cause of your pain.
