ENT wants to shorten uvula, remove enormous tonsils and reconstruct very narrow nasal passages because I can't breathe well thru mouth or nose. Help?
Need something: Looks like you need to do something to relieve your symptoms. Surgery is generally recommended if medical treatment has become ineffective. My rule of thumb for surgery is to let your PMD help you make the decision if you need to be under the knife. They may be willing or aware of trying new medical treatments first. Frontal & maxillary pressure, headache, tired eyes, scratchy throat, and post nasal drip. Lymph node size of pea under R jaw. Can this cause node swell?
Probably : It sounds like you have inflammation in your sinuses and nasal passages. Perhaps allergies or possibly infection. Either could cause a prominent lymph node. I would recommend stomatic treatment with a non sedating antihistamine and a nasal steroid. Both are available over the counter. Ask your pharmacist. If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks or worsen see your doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Help! swelling of throat and tonsils, lymph nodes enlarged on neck, violent coughing, very painful to swallow. Fever, body aches, head congestion.

I used fluticasone nasal spray caused me not to smell nose dry doc said nostrils swollen tried saltwater nose feels heavy air feels obstructed ?
See ENT: It is unusual for fluticasone to cause dryness in the nose. You need to make sure that you are aiming the spray towards the lateral side of the nose and not straight in. Consider trying other nasal steroid options. If the problem persists, see an ENT. If you were much older or have had turbinates reduced, then I would consider dryness as the issue and use saline spray instead. ...Read more
