Enlarged Lymph Nodes From Ruptured Ovarian Cysts
Have a ovarian cyst 8cm, on CT scan mesenteric and retroperitoneal lymph nodes noted? Does that mean enlarge?. I'm confused. It didn't say enlarged.
Not necessarily : 8cm cyst ( depending on what it looks like on the scan) does not have to be cancer in someone your age. Lymph nodes are often visible on scans and as long as they are not enlarged ( greater then 1cm) they are just a normal finding. Can an ovarian cyst be causing swollen lymph nodes in groin (noticeable, not painful for months) and lower back pain?
Pain in right RLQ, swollen lymph nodes abdomen wall via CT, appendix not visible. No Gallbladder, no ovarian cysts. Hematuria, labs ok. Disdended abd?
May still be apendix: Pain in RLQ concerning for appendicitis, ectopic pregnancy & ovarian torsion. A simple pregnancy test rules out ectopic. CT us usually the tool for appendicitis. Did they use oral and IC contrast? (Oral is chalky stuff you drink, IV makes you feel hot all over). If contrast given, appendicitis less likely.. Why would a radiologist put on CT report, mulpile retroperitoneal and mesenteric lymph node noted. But did say they were enlarged. 8cm ovarian cyst?
