Outside this scenario, i would be worried and demand further investigation (ct is appropriate, a blood smear and CBC with differential, as well as a bmp with enzymes markers analysis) up to an excision biopy. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Ultrasound says hypoechoic mass with essentric fatty hilum favoring an enlarged lymph node on left side of neck. What does that mean ?

If a hypoechoic mass is noted this is a solid lesion and with above description is a lymph node that is characterized by the fatty hilum. Bumps on middle of forehead. Painful and itchy. Started as 5 or 6 small bumps and are now 2 big ones. Swollen lymph nodes on left side of neck/jaw.
Infection, shingles?: This sounds like a skin infection of some sort. It could be a bacterial infection (e.g. staph, strep, etc) but I'm more suspicious of herpes zoster (shingles). See a doctor ASAP. If bacterial, you'll need an antibiotic. If shingles, an antiviral drug (e.g. valacyclovir) needs to be started very soon to have maximum benefit. ...Read more
