Nodule...: Tumour, cyst, bleeding into any of the avove.
Goiter: It means the gland is larger than normal. The most common cause of goiter worldwide is a lack of iodine in the diet. In the United States, where most people use iodized salt, goiter is more often due to the over- or underproduction of thyroid hormones or to nodules that develop in the gland itself.
Graves/Thyroiditis: Most commonly this is due to graves disease or thyroiditis. In both of these cases your immune system attacks your thyroid and tries to kill it, because it thinks it is foreign, like a virus. However in graves disease the antibodies that attack the thyroid actually stimulate receptors that make it grow and produce too much thyroid hormone. In thyroiditis the immune cells infiltrate the thyroid.
Tapazole (methimazole): You should be seen by a competent endocrinologist. You should have a t3, t4, and TSH thyroid battery of blood tests. You may want to have an ultrasound of your thyroid. Assuming your thyroid is enlarged and TSH is very low, try tapazole (methimazole). Inexpensive and very effective but must be prescribed by a physician.See 1 more doctor answer

Follow up nodule: thyroid nodules are very common especially in older patients. The vast majority are not cancer and just hyper plastic nodules (overgrowth of normal tissue). In young patients like yourself thyroid nodules should be watched more closely. A nodule less than 1 cm in size does not require biopsy unless there are suspicious features such as calcification or increased blood flow. Talk to your doctor.

There are many other causes that only your doctor can define/address by examining you and testing your lab.Make sure that you are not anemic(check cbc) and your emotional health is normal and that you are sleeping well.
