Had endoscopy. Mild esophagus and stomach irritation from gerd. On omeprazole 40 MG and occasionally carafe. Still get lots of bloating and pain.help?

Had endoscopy. Mild esophagus and stomach irritation from gerd. On omeprazole 40 MG and occasionally carafe. Still get lots of bloating and pain.help?

Several things: first, results from endo including H Pylori presence/absence would be helpful. Bloating below stomach isn't stomach. Then, omeprazole is weak in two regards 1) it is the weakest of the proton pump inhibitors and 2) proton pump inhibitors work for about 20 hrs not 24, taking a PPI twice a day increases its effectiveness on GERD but not bloating. ...Read more
