Excision surgery: Continuous oral contraceptives will work better than having a monthly period. Pain should improve after the second or third pack. Alternatively, you could have extensive excision of endometriosis in which is possible to remove all visible disease . Different: Lupron (leuprolide) gives you a (temporary) chemical menopause, thus no period. By not stimulating the ovaries the symptoms of endometriosis might improve. Bcp are also commonly used, also put the ovaries "at rest", but different mechanism. ...Read more

You may need surgery: To remove the endometriosis, the newest method is remover of the visceral peritoneum by the robot or at the least cauterization or laser of the endometriosis and also you can get on depo-lupron to help shrink the endo, but u can only stay on this med for 6-12 months at the most, please make an appt to see your gyn, if u take pills u need to take them continuously and have no periods. ...Read more
