Probably Not: Unless you have a family history or some reason to think endometriosis it might be more common to be experiencing Middleschmertz pain. This is pain from the ovary ovulating the egg. Some people feel this. Why only on your right side not known. ...Read more

If u are struggling: With infertility I am not surprised that elements of your history may have tipped your physician. Endometriosis however, do not cuase "inadequate" ovulation. How soon after getting mirena (levonorgestrel) out do I ovulate? I have endometriosis but had a surgery to remove it ~4 weeks ago

How soon after getting mirena (levonorgestrel) out do I ovulate? I have endometriosis but had a surgery to remove it ~4 weeks ago

Varies: It is possible to ovulate very soon after removing the Mirena (levonorgestrel). This is partially due to the fact that many women still ovulate with a Mirena (levonorgestrel) in place. I always warn my patients to use backup contraception as soon as the Mirena (levonorgestrel) is out and while they are waiting for their period to regulate. ...Read more

39 year women w/o child would like children Still has ovulation but has diaphragmatic endometriosis. Need to make decision. Remove it or get pregnant?

Why either/or?: You might consider doing both, in whatever sequence you desire. Removing the troublesome area or areas may delay pregnancy, but by 40, women's risk of adverse outcome through age alone is just 1% above that of younger women. You may want to meet with a genetic counselor to identify any family, health and age specific risks and decide based on full knowledge of the possibilities. ...Read more

I had surgery 2 weeks ago, I had 1ovary removed, endometriosis, a lot of scarred tissues, can't concieve without vitro is it poss to have ovulate symptoms?

Endo and Ovulation: Endometriosis does not stop ovulation. Most of your fertility is because of the scar tissue. Removing an ovary also means that you lost 50% of the eggs. That means your fertility potential is lower and probably earlier menopause. Get amh & FSH levels and see an ivf specialist soon to understand your options better. Delay could mean lower ivf success. Good luck. ...Read more

I was on Cerazette for three months to treat endometriosis. Now I am feeling pain during sex again after a week. What should I do?

Surgery perhaps: It is likely if you have endometriosis that you have deep infiltrating endometriosis just behind the the uterus. This is possibly causing the pain with intercourse. You have tried birth control pills and while that often can help with the pain - but often not for the long term - it will not get rid of the endometriosis. The only way to really get rid of it is to excise it and this means surgery. ...Read more
