Endometrial Lining After Miscarriage
I had 4 induced abortions. No complications, menstrual is normal have had 3 miscarriages after. Did I mess up my endometrial lining? & is that fixable
No: It isn't the endometrium that is the source of the repeated miscarriages. It is either a genetic issue or cervical incompetence. The cervix may be opening too soon in the 2nd trimester and may need to have a suture placed (cerclage).Genetic issues can be tested at the time of the miscarriage with the products of conception or later with blood testing (TORCH titer). ...Read more
Endometrial lining was 1mm 7 days post ovulation- periods are very light, 2 miscarriages, HSG shows abnormal uterine shape- could this be asherman's?
Yes, Asherman's: Asherman's syndrome is adhesions of the uterus. The adhesions form usually after a procedure like a D&C for miscarriage. Adhesions are areas where there is no normal endometrial tissue cover that will grow to allow for pregnancy implantation or periods. Treating this can be difficult and take time to heal. I recommend you seek care with a reproductive endocrinologist. ...Read more
More Info: After any bleeding, your lining in the uterus will thin out. This is what you shed in your period or miscarriage. In your miscarriage, you will also have fetal tissue. So, your bleeding is heavier with clots and more cramping. ...Read more

Fertility testing: Considering undergoing fertility testing if you have been trying for more than 12 moths without success. How soon after miscarriage can I start Clomid (clomiphene) again. I don't ovulate on my own so won't get a period. Can I take it 3 days after. Scan shows thin lining?
19 weeks pregnant and been eating microwave popcorn a few times a week. Someone said the lining in the bag could cause miscarriage or damage to baby. Is this true? I never heard this before.
Not likely: The main risk is from inhaling diacetyl fumes and most who got sick did so through occupational exposure. Many manufacturers have since removed diacetyl from their microwave popcorn. You can make your own microwave popcorn by putting plain kernels in a clean brown paper lunch bag, fold the top over a few times, and heat on the popcorn setting of your microwave. Add melted butter if you like. ...Read more

At times chlomid can thin the lining if uterus. What are the affects of this side effect? Miscarriage? Failure to implant?
Implantation defect: Clomid (clomiphene) may cause the endometrial lining to not grow sufficiently to allow for implantation of an embryo. Checking the lining of the endometrium before ovulation can show if this might be an issue. Estrogen can be added 4 days after ovulation to improve the lining in some cases. ...Read more

I think I had a miscarriage but I want to know the difference between a gestation sac after 3 week pregnancy or a uterus lining during a period.
See your dr: If its only been a little bit of time since you had bleeding that was either a miscarriage or a period, the doctor can check a test to see if you are still making pregnancy hormones (which you may be if it was a miscarriage). If you don't want to be pregnant, you should talk with your dr about birth control choices. If you do want to be pregnant, plan ahead, start prenatal vitamins, and be health. ...Read more

Blockage: A polyp sits atop the endometrial and usually partially made of endometrial material. When the endo lining sheds, the part under the polyp cannot shed as the polyp blocks its. Think of rain falling on a field with a huge thick tree setting in the middle. The rain cannot really get to the ground under the tree as it is blocked by the tree; sample principle with the polyp. ...Read more
Not really: The paragard iud is hormone free. It works by creating a toxic environment for sperm preventing fertilization. Because it is hormone free it has no real effect on the endometrial lining. Endometrial lining 11.88. 26yr female hx mod endometriosis. Lining on us shaped like an arrow with a tale is this normal? Feel preg nothing on ultras
Normal: The shape you describe is most likely normal but obviously cannot say with any certainty without seeing the images. As for "feeling pregnant", have you taken a pregnancy test? A urine pregnancy test is far more accurate at diagnosing early pregnancy than an ultrasound. In a woman of childbearing age at the end of her cycle an endometrial thickness of 7-16mm is considered normal, btw. ...Read more
