An echocardiogram (also called an echo) is a type of ultrasound test that uses high-pitched sound waves that are sent through a device called a transducer. What is the probability of sca with a normal ekg(normal heartbeat, just fast), normal echo shows normal function, normal stress test/normal blood work?
Low: The probability of sca is low in the young, healthy population. Unless you have a family history of sca or a genetic predisposition to sudden death, your risk should also be low. There is a risk calculator that can be applied to assess sca risk in patients undergoing surgery. It was developed by dr. Gupta and can be accessed at www.Qxmd.Com. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

What does an ultra sound that says normal uterus but very heterogeneous with a few poorly defined fibroids mean?
May mean adenomyosis: Difficult to say for sure. You should discuss findings with your doctor. I often see pelvic ultrasounds describe significant heterogeneity which is due to adenomyosis but called fibroids instead. They are both benign conditions and both cause similar symptoms (and you could even have both). A pelvic MRI is a good way to answer this but first talk to your doctor to explain the results. ...Read more

Echo: What is Borderline concentric LV hypertrophy? Is it bad? Need medication or is it normal ? ECG is normal! Thanks!
LVH.: This findings means that the entire left ventricle is a little bit thickened. The muscle layer of the left ventricle can be thickened in people who have high blood pressure, or in those who are overweight, for example. Not a danger in and of itself, but should be followed by serial 2D Echo over the years, and you may want a Cardiologist opinion as to cause. ...Read more
