Endocrine System Failure
Brains to Bones: Endocrine glands secrete hormones into the bloodstream which direct the activity of other glands and organs. Few examples: part of the pancreas makes Insulin to help glucose fuel all the cells in the body; hypothalamus makes hormones directing the pituitary which directs ovaries, testes, thyroid, adrenals, etc. Pth from parathyroid glands maintains bone/blood calcium among other things.
Endocrine: My best answer is for you to go online and look for the many comments about the Endocrine system. Look for easy to read and understand articles. Avoid scientific articles till you have finished the earlier ones. After a while let me know how you got on.
Common diseases: The best advice I can give you to understand this is to go to the local library and find a readable book about the Endocrine system. There are many books worth reading. Perhaps before you go to the library you might want to read a few articles on the internet that will give some ideas to begin with. If you do follow this please let me know what you think.
Probably Not: Foray 48b (btk) is an insecticide using spores from a bacteria to kill gypsy moth larvae. While there have been reports of allergic resctions, these would generally manifest themselves as asthma affecting the respiratory system, or theoretically as anaphylaxis causing shock. There are no us government sites linking foray 48b to any endocrine disease.
Endocrine: Each hormone is a chemical that control function of many different organs. Brain hormones send orders to organs to work. Brain secretes TSH to order thyroid to work to control whole body. Sexual hormones control brain and whole body, as does Insulin controls use of sugar in whole body (brain included). Then hormones are inter-dependent. Delicate balance!
Endocrine system: Start by going online to Yahoo and look at "endocrine images". Once you have glanced at that go online to read the many articles about the endocrine system.
Controls everything: The endocrine system is composed of "ductless" glands that produce various hormones. Thyroid hormone controls the bodies metabolism, adrenal hormone is involved with stress hormones, pituitary hormones control other hormones of the body including reproductive hormones. Insulin is a hormone that controls blood sugar. There are thousands of hormones in the body that control various systems.
Endocrine: A good question. Please go online and search for articles about the endocrine system but search only for articles designed for folks who have not joined any class to understand the different components. You should find several articles specifically designed to help you understand. Please let me know how this works out.
Textbook: Hi. I have many textbooks (big and thick!) with diseases of the "endocrine system". Too road a question for an answer in 400 characters or less! If you'd care to narrow it down, maybe we can help.
Can you tell me how it affects female endocrine system leading to different behavioural consequences?
The elusive "it": Hi. Did you forget to include a vital piece of information??? What the heck is "it"??? Read your question...does it make sense to YOU? No? It doesn't to us either. Give the pertinent information, and maybe we can help. Good luck!
Thyroid and. .: Of the endocrine organs, thyroid is the commonest site of cancers. Pituitary tumors while not cancers in the literal sense are still dangerous. Cancers of all endocrine organs are known to occur, e.G, adrenal, parathyroid, pancreatic islets etc. If you include testes and ovaries among the endocrine organs, these two, especially ovary is a common site of cancer.
Depends: If the endocrine system is not maintained well, hormones start to be disrupted, various things can happen. Depending on the hormone you can have weight gain, loss of muscle, increase in inflammation, fatigue, poor sleep. This all starts the process towards dis-ease which eventually if not stopped leads to disease. Integrative medicine works on balancing the body at all times.See 1 more doctor answer
