Yes: Size and nodal status are the best indicators of how early/late a pancreatic tumor has been detected. The best prognosis is with patients that have tumors < 2cm, and lymph nodes negative. Even better prognosis for patients with only small foci of disease within cystic lesions of the pancreas. In these, 5-year survival may be as high as 50% depending on type.
