I've been going through a miscarriage this week & today I passed the embryo & sac. This has been an emotional, mental & physical time and to top it off, i've had terrible diarrhoea . Is this normal or could I have an infection?

Sorry for your loss: I feel for what you are going through... Usually a uterine infection doesn't cause diarrhea & the only connection i can make is if you were given a medication to help complete your miscarriage (cytotec=misoprostil, prostin, etc). These medications can cause GI symptoms such as severe nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Keep up on your fluids, Ibuprofen for cramps, & call your doc for fevers or pain. ...Read more
