10 hour fast blood sugar 100, 12 hour fast 90,post prad 1.5 hour 130, usally reach 85 level 6 hour after meal, why 10 hour fast high then 12 hour norm

Glucose values: I would not obsess over fasting glucose of 90 vs 100. The 2 hr difference in length of fast is not very important. If the glu is less than 140 at 2 hr after 75 g of glucose intake, that is normal. Overall, you seem to have normal glucose values. If you are at risk for diabetes, a Hgb A1C may be a better test to follow. ...Read more

Bun=21
Creatinine=1.1
Protein intake=120gms 50gms through whey and 15 gms bcca during intraworkout.do Moderately Intense exercise 5to6 days for 1 hr.

Water is key: Both numbers are essentially ok. With that much protein, you really need to make sure you stay well hydrated. With intense exercise there are muscle breakdown products that can potentially be harmful if they cause blockages in your kidneys. Proper hydration will help prevent this from occurring and keep your performance level high. ...Read more

Unclear question: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it is not likely that you have diabetes. However, the weight gain is not a sign of good health and you should try to lose weight (easier said than done). It may help to consult a nutritionist for advice. ...Read more

1/23/16 A1c 5.3% Fasting 84 Estimated Mean Plasma Glucose 90. Lost 12 lbs.No sugar diet.Ate very healthy but not a lot of calories. 7/25/16-A1c 5.9%. Fasting 79. Est.Mean PlaGlucose 110.47 Nondiabetic-why did they rise? I am 51,121lbs 5'4 worried!

Lab numbers Fluctuat: The blood test number tend to fluctuate from one time to other. So I do not think your sugars or A1C are any worse now than they were in Jan 2016. As long as your Fasting blood sugar is staying under 100, you are safe. But in the meantime, continue your increased physical activity daily. That will keep you healthy. Recheck your sugar and A1c in 6 months from now and perhaps once yearly thereafter. ...Read more

After eating 75 grams of carbs (french bread) on relatively empty stomach, 1 hour gluc level was 190. 2 hour gluc level was 127. Normal? Pre-Diab?

After eating 75 grams of carbs (french bread) on relatively empty stomach, 1 hour gluc level was 190. 2 hour gluc level was 127. Normal? Pre-Diab?

Probably normal: Hi. That is not a valid test. The OGTT uses 75 g liquid glucose; French bread is not an equivalent. And the OGTT uses serum glucose, not finger stick capillary glucose. You would also heed the fasting glucose, a standard part of an OGTT. Having said all that, your values could easily be normal. If you're worried, see your doc and do the REAL OGTT. Eat healthily and exercise regularly. Good luck. ...Read more

Im taking whey protein regularly. Practicing weight lifting 3 times/week. I take 50 g whey protein after workout and the next morning. Is it healthy?

Im taking whey protein regularly. Practicing weight lifting 3 times/week. I take 50 g whey protein after workout and the next morning. Is it healthy?

Depends . . .: Minimum recommended is 10-15% of daily calories from protein or ~0.36g/lb body weight for someone relatively inactive. But for athletes, 0.5-1g/lb body weight is recommended. So whether it's healthy depends upon your weight & your kidney function (less if your kidneys aren't healthy). Check out http://goo.Gl/r2oo3 & http://goo.Gl/oaqo0. ...Read more

1.5 hrs after low carb/high protein dinner my gluc level was 57 (checked 3 times). Few minutes later consistently 81. I felt fine. Error in machine?

Test: Error possible but most lab testing devices are going to have a range of values even with a standardized sample. If you felt fine since all the values were fine, be happy. If you have a standard to test against you could try that to check the machine. ...Read more

(protein, urine, qn <=11 mg/dl -my result <6)

Urine results: Your urine shows that you have virtually no protein in your urine, which is a good thing. Patients with proteinuria have an increased rate of kidney failure, heart attacks and strokes which is related to the amount of protein in the urine both in diabetic and non-diabetic patients.
