Eat and drink enough: Although everyone is eager to lose wt after baby, eating and drinking adequate amounts during the months you are breastfeeding is also important in providing adequate nutrition for your baby. You are hungry because you are (still) eating for two. Do what you can to increase your daily activity to burn calories (get out for walks, etc, and take baby with you if you can s/he will enjoy the ride). ...Read more

I've been on the elimination diet 1 week, but for the past 3 days i've been mildly nauseated and it seems to get worse after i eat. Any ideas why?

What are you eating?: There are many types of elimination diets. One avoids the most commonly allergenic foods but it's possible to be allergic to any food including those on your current diet- for example, most elimination diets exclude wheat but allow rice; while wheat allergy is much more common, some people are allergic to rice. My guess is you are sensitive to a food you're eating more of than you usually eat. ...Read more

How does one start an elimination diet for food allergies...I was considering rice fruit and vegetables for 1 week?

Best to get checked: New development of food allergies at age 64 is unusual, so your desire to restrict diet, while based on good science, may be an incorrect approach for you. Effective diet exclusions pick one food group to drop (like lactose, gluten), assess response, then move on to another food group. I suggest first you discuss your symptoms & concerns with your doctor & pursue appropriate evaluation instead. ...Read more

I have had a burning sensation on my face and scalp for about 3 months started when I went on a very strict elimination diet. I'm not on diet now.

Too vague: What in the world is a "strict elimination diet"???? What was the reason? I wonder if you have a skin problem or something else instead. You need to relate all soaps, creams, treatments, meds, etc, including any vitamins. A dermatologist MIGHT help you if all relevant details are revealed. ...Read more
