Scientific Rx: The benzoyl peroxide you're taking is a good start but only eliminates acne about half the time. The fact that you have scars means it was never sufficient. You need prescription-strength Rx for your active disease. It's not about self-care. Get with your physician. Combination approach: There are a number of options: chemical peels, fractionated laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, scar subcision along with topical retinoids, topical vitamin c, and Alpha hydroxy acids.
