Elevated Ldh Lymphoma
Maybe Infection.: The elevation of neutrophils coukl mean bacterial infection, as these cells are important in fighting this kind of infection. The high hemohlobin seems nonspecific, in abscence of other symptoms and signs. It could possibly mean a polycythemia, one of the porphorias, or a myeloproliferative disorder, which could explain the high neutrophils. It can also be from high altitude. See dr. For more. ...Read more
It is not specific f: High alk. Phos can be caused by any/many liver disorders from any cause including hepatitis, obstruction of the bile due to stone or tumor. Lymphoma itself hs little to do with alk. Phos but it can certainly infilterate into the liver or cause bile duct compression due to enlarged lymph nodes in the porta hepatis area of th eliver and thus could, indirectly cause high alk phos levels in the blood. ...Read more

I have an elevated sedimentation rate, elevated white blood cell count, elevated absolute neutrophils, elevated absolute lymphocytes, & low iron level?
How do you FEEL?: If the white cell values are not extremely out of range, and all are well formed, I would not worry about them. Elevated total WBC count (11,000) with elevated total neutrophils, lymphocytes and eosinophils. But CRP & SED rate are NORMAL. What causes this?
Any symptoms?: Why was the test done? Do you have any symptoms? All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your WBC is at the high end of normal, but it may be your normal. Can a elevated WBC (14.1) high neutrophils (69%) low lymphocytes (23%) & large lymph nodes indicate cancer?
Possible, but...: Without knowing more specifics of how the patient is doing clinically as well as the results of other blood tests (like the rest of the cbc), infection would be more likely with this picture (especially the elevated neutrophils). There are definitely other tests that could be performed if cancer was more of a concern, if this was warranted. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Complicated: When i was doing clinical medicine, these were collectively sort of the flags for sarcoid disease but I am not saying that's the case here. This is because sarcoid is a diagnosis of exclusion so the advice is to rule out other diseases with additional diagnostic tests which can be done by a primary care physician or rheumatologist. ...Read more

No: The absolute monocyte count seldom tells us much in isolation. If by "low iron" you mean a low serum iron, you need it interpreted; if by "low iron" you mean a low hemoglobin / hematocrit, you are anemic and this is serious. High liver enzymes require a workup for alcohol and drug toxicity, hepatitis, hemochromatosis, wilson's & others. Never focus just on labs. ...Read more
