I had a very strong electric shock feeling in my left arm in the middle of the night that made me jump up out of bed. My arm was tingling afterwards.?

Not worrisome: In and of itself, this is not too worrisome - probably you had your head angled in a way that a nerve root in your cervical spine became briefly compressed. That said, if the electrical pains and numbness persists and worsens, or (and especially) if you develop weakness in your arm somewhere (eg biceps) then a short steroid taper might help and an MRI of the C-spine may be warranted. ...Read more

Tinel sign (electric shock) on tapping lesion site again developed 2 months after excision of radial nerve schwannoma of arm, does this mean recurrence?

Not at all: Tinel's sign is indicative of chronicity, and typically is present due to nerve re-innervation and peripheral sprouting, a sign of partial recovery. Hopefully the Schwannoma has been fully excised. ...Read more

I saw a neurologist, he did electric shock in my lymphadema arm, and wanted to put needles in to check neck for ddd I stopped him, was I right to do so?

Depends?: The "shocks" will allow on to determine if there is any damage of nerve in the arm. The needle assess nerve activity to the muscles. If all of the muscles in a myotome are abnormal, that is, they all share a common nerve root, then we know that nerve root is dysfunction and there may be a problem at the level of the neck (radiculopathy). ...Read more

Numbness in my heals on my feet, numbness/tingling in my thumbs and electric shock sensation in my arm. What is it?

Without knowing: Details about you as a patient its tough to give a definitive answer. The first thought that comes to my mind is neuropathy. Radiculopathy: It sounds like a disc has herniated in your neck or some other issues closing off the opening your nerve roots run through to exit the cervical spine.
