It boosts dopamine!!: Eldepryl is o/w called selegine or zelapar (oral-disintegrating form). It's a mao-i (mono amine oxidase inhibitor) which slows the breakdown of dopamine, the central chemical deficient in parkinson's. Thereby it boosts the natural Dopamine made by the brain or the synthetic Dopamine in sinemet. Thus, symptoms are more fully & consistently treated.
