Prescribed adderal ir 30mg 3x day & neurontin (gabapentin) 1200 mg (nerve damage) can I take neurontin (gabapentin) at night as one dose? Does neurontin (gabapentin) effect adderall working

Clarification: Neurontin does not interact with most drugs and will not affect your Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). Since it has a short duration of action, cannot be taken once daily but needs thrice daily dosing. A gabapentin preparation, Gralise, however, can be taken once daily at night. ...Read more

Why hasn't viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) taken off as the new branded blockbuster drug..Such as lexapro, cymbalta etc./is it about side effects-effectiveness-insurance cov.

Slow marketing: I believe the reason has been somewhat slow marketing and releasing it before proving that it also has effectiveness in anxiety as well. Some of the initial side effects needs to be overcome by taking the initial starter packet and using two of them instead of one so that the upward taper occurs less aggressively. The harder it is to get patient and physician compliance, the harder it is to sell. ...Read more

Is mobic, aciphex, (rabeprazole) flexeril, and a compounded cream with ketoprofen, baclofen, lidocaine all together safe?

Is mobic, aciphex, (rabeprazole) flexeril, and a compounded cream with ketoprofen, baclofen, lidocaine all together safe?

Maybe not: There is a slight risk of combining the Mobic and the Ketoprofen. Those two meds are in the same class & could cause stomach ulcers or kidney damage (do NOT use if have kidney prob). We just don't know if enough of the Ketoprofen would be absorbed systemically to cause a problem. Aciphex (rabeprazole) protects against ulcers. The Flexeril and Baclofen are also in the same class and could cause sedation. ...Read more

Wasn't the original intended use for Chantix as an antidepressant?

Yes: Drug development and pharmaceutical companies often find out other uses for the medication during clinical trials and even after the drug is released. If it is to be safe and effective the FDA in the US must review trials and give it conditional use and labeling. It undergoes further consideration for patients and human trials. After many long months it can be released with a new indication. ...Read more
