Was under sedation with propofol for IVF egg retrieval. Was given antibiotic cefuroxime and novalgin for pain. Started to cough. They said it was like an asthma attack. Antibiotic allergic reaction?
Metamizole was banned in usa in 1977 due to risk of agranulocytosis and you are in california.It may be reaction to anesthesia or novalgin wherever you were given this drug (metamizole)
it is unlikely a reaction to antibiotics.
