I had unprotected sex on 4 july and took the postinor2 effectively n bled, then on 25th exactly two weeks after had unprotected sex but took the postinor on 27th today, will it be effective?
Likely yes, but...: One should stop using emergency contraception so often, and get on a reliable ongoing non-emergency contraception... such as an IUD, birth control pills, contraceptive implant, condoms, etc. Postinor and other emergency contraceptives work most of the time but not all of the time, so one can do a home pregnancy test 3 weeks after sex to confirm non-pregnancy. ...Read more

I took two pills of postinor 2 at ago on 16th july. However, I haven't seen any bleeding but my breasts hurt. Please advise?
About Postinor 2...: Plan B, Postinor 2, and other brands of emergency contraceptive pills can alter the menstrual cycle for the cycle in which Plan B or Postinor 2 was taken, and sometimes the next month's cycle too. One should be sure to check a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex, because emergency contraceptive pills work most of the time, but not all the time. ...Read more
Hi, my girlfriend took two postinor 2 tablets at once, and now has a skin rash, is it serious, and how long will it take to go away? Thanks :)
We had sex two weeks ago and my condom broke and she took postinor-2 45mins after and now she is seeing blood two days after her normal cycle. Pls help what could be wrong?
Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding is a common side effect of any hormonal therapy medication for contraception. Usually the emergency hormonal therapy has a type of progesterone that helps to thin the endometrial lining making it incompatible with implantation of the embryo. The thinning can likely cause this bleeding she is seeing. Seek help from her primary doc if bleeding continues. ...Read more

Postinor: Postinor is one brand of emergency contraception. It comes in a one pill pack or in some countries a two pill pack where you take one pill and then the 2nd 12 hours later. You can check the package instructions on the brand you bought. If you did not have sex again then you do not need to repeat it. ...Read more
Took postinor 2 in two consecutive months and my period was always a week earlier, now it's delayed for the third month and I didn't take it...
Typical: Emergency birth control essentially disrupts the normal menstrual cycle by blocking or delaying ovulation. That it is how it works and why it is so different than a medical abortion. Irregular bleeding after taking emergency contraception is not rare. Always check a pregnancy test after using and see a doctor to start a better form of birth control. ...Read more
Hello, we did some dry sex two days ago, both in underwear, and I spilled some sperm on her underwear. Should we take postinor? Can she get pregnant?
Hmmm....: In normal everyday life, sperm does not go through underwear to create babies, just like a person cannot run faster than 28 miles per hour, cannot grow any taller after age 30 years, etc... It just doesn't happen. However, one should be careful when in only underwear, as the human biological drive to impregnate is naturally high, so sometimes stuff happens and a penis just gets into a vagina. ...Read more
So I had unprotected sex early September and I took the postinor and then two times after that I took it again, I always took the two pills at the same time because I wasn't aware of how to use it, I haven't gotten my period till now, any help?
I had unsave sex with my girl twice in a week, and I gave her postinor 2, two times for each sex. She had a day menses the ff week. Is she pregnant?
Can't say: Don't know what "ff" stands for. Emergency contraception pills can cause bleeding. Thus her episode of bleeding may or may not be an actual period. Would recommend that she take a home pregnancy test is she does not have an obvious period when it is anticipated or at about 14 days after the second episode of sex to know for sure. ...Read more
Hi. I took postinor 2 within 24 hours of unprotected sex. But I took it wrongly (two tablets at once) and I'm now bleeding with blood clots pls advise?
Pill "mess up": Taking this medication inappropriately can cause protracted bleeding. However, first and foremost, you need to re-run your pregnancy test if you haven't already and if positive, contact a GYN MD for examination. Pregnancies in the Fallopian tube (ectopic) can sometimes present this way as well. ...Read more
After taking two doses of postinor 2 in the same week, I got my period., after my period, there has been yellow watery discharge with no odor or itch?
Infection: A yellow watery discharge could be a sign of an infection. If you took emergency contraception twice in one week, you must be having unprotected intercourse and pregnancy is not the only risk with that but it is the only one decreased by postinor. You need to be tested and that would also be a good time to start a more reliable method of contraception. Be safe. ...Read more

Had sex with my boyfriend. Was a virgin so he used withdrawal method and I took postinor two tablets at once after 6 hours. I started bleeding immediately after sex but it stopped. After postinor pills I saw a discharge in my pants can I get pregnant?
Yes, but not likely: Plan B, Postinor 2, and other brands of emergency contraceptive pills can alter the menstrual cycle for the cycle in which Plan B or Postinor 2 was taken, and sometimes the next month's cycle too. One should be sure to check a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex, because emergency contraceptive pills work most of the time, but not all the time. ...Read more
I have taken 4500mg of ampiclox within the last two days to avoid getting pregnant. I had unprotected sex a week earlier and used the postinor single pill twice the next day after sex. I am yet to see my period. Pls am I pregnant and will the intake of su
Probably not: If you took postinor the day after having unprotected sex, then it is very unlikely you are pregnant. Stop taking the ampiclox, you have taken too much already, and it is doubtful that you need this medication. Try to relax. If you are very concerned about the possibility of pregnancy then protect yourself in the future by using a reliable birth control method to prevent pregnancy. ...Read more

I took 3 tablets of postinor 2 in 3 weeks (I had sex once every week). 1)What side effects would this have one me. 2)Would this prevent pregnancy?
Emergency contracept: Emergency contraception should be used within 72 hours of unprotected sex to decrease the risk of pregnancy by about 70%. It is not 100% effective. IT should not be used as your primary birth control. Since you are having to use it often it would be a better option to start birth control. This would give you more protection. ...Read more
