What are the most common negative effects of drinking Dry-gin (whiskey) on human, how much is safe?
I just tried to: Research this. 1 site said gin is therapeutic for arthritis, helps you lose weight, ^'s your appetite, improves GI health, is a diuretic, reduces cardiovascular disease, makes bones stonger. Etc. It is from a site called 'gin wisdom' i never learned any of that in medical school. 'medical wisdom' ; 'gin wisdom' don't necessarily go hand in hand. I don't personally know of any benefits from gin. ...Read more

How big is glass: One drink of spirits such as gin would be 1.5 oz. If this is all very unlikely you would have alcoholism. However people with alcohol problems can be crafty. Their one gin and tonic may be out of a 24oz tumbler. But they can gladly tell everyone. "i just have one drink per night" hope that helps. Not to be cynical but it does happen. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have about gin soaked raisans. If they work, how long do you soak and how many do you eat to ease arthritis?
No real studies: The idea of eating gin-soaked raisins to help arthritis pain has been around for ~30 years. It's in the realm of folk remedies, with no testing in the controlled double blind study approach conventional medicine uses. You'd be doing your own personal experiment by trying this, but here's some info: http://tinyurl.Com/n8wocra if it gives better results than oxycodone & percocet, do let us know. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Probably OK, but...: ...I'm not familiar with "cotton gin" except the cotton harvesting machine. Is that what you mean? Or some sort of gin cocktail? Alcohol in moderation isn't likely to hurt, and I don't see any problem working in cotton harvesting. Post a new question with more details, and/or speak with the doctor or clinic where you'll be getting your HIV care. Good luck! ...Read more

Not usually: unless you have a history of alcohol abuse or dependency, in which case it will very likely not stay at 1 drink. If you are using a shot glass and are having 1.5 oz. of gin per night, that is within safe drinking limits for women. What are the odds of getting HIV from eating a cherry of the top of an infected persons gin and tonic?
Gin and blood sugar: Alcohol can cause low blood sugar shortly after and 8-12 hours after drinking. If you are going to drink, check your bs right before drinking and only drink if it's normal. It's a good idea to eat before or during drinking to prevent low bs. You should also check bs before bed to make sure you are not low going to bed. If low, eat something. Limit drinks to 1 for women, 2 for men.. ...Read more
