I'm taking 150 mg of Effexor-XR for GAD. Anxiety & nervousness are listed as common side-effects. Tense now: side-effect (lower dose) or increase it?
Normal dose: As you mentioned, this is a side effect that can occur with Effexor (venlafaxine) XR. Generally, these side effects are transient and go away after a few days. However, this dose is generally achieved after a 1-2 week titration period. Best bet is to call the prescribing doctor and tell them what's happening since they know your history.
