Probably not, but...: You can get just about all of the benefits by eating a banana or two a day. And as a GI doctor I recommend avoiding one of the ingredients, cascara, on a daily basis unless prescribed by your doctor. The amount of alcohol is probably negligible. For a point of view not written by the company selling it, see http://www. Rapidnet. Com/~jbeard/bdm/psychology/km/cure. Htm. ...Read more

Serious: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, the results you provided indicate liver cell death and you should be under the care of a doctor. It may be a transient viral infection, but should get it checked out. ...Read more

Usually no: Liver toxicity could happen. But while you are taking CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) you doctor checks your tests including white cells and liver function. Many transplant patients take CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) for long years with no problems. Far more common side effect is diarrhea that may require dose reduction. Finally, there is a risk benefit ratio. The benefit of CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) in controlling autoimmune dz or transplant exceeds risks. ...Read more
How does azathioprine effect the liver? They did bloods test and somthing rised a bit to do with myliver
Toxicity: Azathioprine can cause self limiting increases in liver function tests for which nothing needs to be done. However, the medication can also cause acute and chronic toxicities and depending on how long a patient is taking the drug, can manifest with liver scarring and drainage issues (cholestasis). I recommend having your liver function tests tested several times over the next year or so. ...Read more

Depends: I guess it depends on your livers ability to handle all the ingredients in the supplement. Can smoking cigarettes effect your spleen if it is enlarged from mono? Can it effect your liver while recovering from mono.
Probably not: I am not aware of tobacco's effects on the spleen or liver, but it can cause throat, lung, and bladder plus some other forms of cancers. It also worsens asthma and causes emphysema especially for women. You should take this opportunity to quit smoking instead of asking for justification to smoke. Name me one health benefit from smoking and then we can talk. ...Read more

Alcoholism: I'm not sure which is the fastest way to get cirrhosis and ruin your liver, but it is time to at least read the book alcoholics anonymous. It will help you identify whether you are an alcoholic, which you almost certainly are, and tell you about the most effective method ever found for relieving you of this suicidal behavior. It is more freeing than you could ever imagine. Good luck. ...Read more

Fenofibrate did it effect on liver functions if it been taken for long period and did legalon 140 refresh liver and then can stop taking fenofibrate?
Fenofibrate: Fenofibrate can cause abnormal liver tests, and if that occurs, the Fenofibrate may need to be stopped. There is no evidence to suggest, however, that Legalon (milk thistle) is effective for Fenofibrate-induced liver test abnormalities. I would avoid alcohol if your liver tests are abnormal. Good luck. ...Read more

Is consuming 1 WHOLE lemon juice in water everyday healthy? Any drawbacks? Effect on liver enzymes? Thanks a lot for your time
That's fine: It sounds a lot more wholesome that the overpriced "special water" you can buy, or the over-sugary or artificial fruit beverages that most people prefer. I'm like you -- I enjoy the more subtle flavors, especially those right from nature. Enjoy yourself. ...Read more
Can 'vaping' (e-cigerettes) with nicotine in a propylene glycol solution cause elevated liver enzymes. Not sure if nicotine has an effect on liver? Ty
No: Nicotine has no adverse effect upon the liver unless you had a major overdose which only happens with the administration of large doses of nicotine. These doses cannot be met by smoking or vaping. Propylene glycol won't cause problems either. I would worry about chronic lung damage and nicotine addiction. If your liver enzymes are elevated, your doctor needs to find out the reason. ...Read more

I have cronic arthritis pain now I had arthritis since I was 16 years old all the meds I've took for it, effect my liver or kidneys, what can I do now?
Seek help: Chronic pain has neurological, mood and lifestyle effects that make it hard to live well. You need to find a specialist in joint rehabilitation to assist you. Only after examination and x-rays and laboratory studies (check your vitamin d) should you seek pain medication as the only answer. Weight control, anti-inflamatory diet, water therapy, isometric exercises, and bracing could be options. ...Read more
