It is only those germs that gain entry to your blood that can get to baby, this does not. Wart strains can be passed if the kid's skin is contaminated during vaginal birth. 1) It might: ASCUS Atypical Cells of Uncertain Signficiance is the commonest abnormal finding and is usually nothing to worry about. I am not sure what "cyst" means, it could mean warts but the only way to know for sure is to ask him or her. I take it you are pregnant. Mode of transmission: HPV vaccine would not help. The important question is how did a 9 year old girl got anal warts. I think your friend needs to discuss this with the pediatrician as soon as possible. It is a medical-legal consequence if those are really due to a HPV-related infection. Useless to worry...: Vertical transmission of infection to newborn may occur esp. chlamydia. Your worry about infecting your baby shows you are a responsible mom with parental devotion. As to HPV, it is possible but extremely rare and treatment is only for visible lesions with high recurrence up to 50%. So, ask your obs-gyn doc for faster advice.
