What did the dermato: What did the dermatologist say? None of the treatments you mention are likely to be of benefit for this. Your description is not enough for diagnosis. If your dermatologist is stumped he may ask another dermatologist for a consult. How much does it bother you? If not much distress you may wish to give it some timer. Your gp might not have been wrong however since there is a chance that you might have had an irritant or allergic reaction to one of the ingredients in the topical cream. Stop using it.: Betamethasone is a strong steroid cream that should not be used on the face. Short-term it will cause sensitivity such as what you experienced; long-term it can cause "rebounds", where the rash comes back with a vengeance when you stop using it, or even rosacea. Try an otc Hydrocortisone cream to get rid of the rash, and if that doesn't work, see a dermatologist. ...Read more
