I have a red rash on my penis shaft near my groin area. It is also secreting clear like fluid from the rash. Is it eczema/dermatitis/yeast infction?
Not likely: Johns123, it sounds like something you need to have checked out by a physician. Based on the symptoms and signs you have described it could be several things. Eczema typically does not secrete clear fluid, nor does dermatitis. Yeast is a possibility but you still need to rule out other things such as herpatic lesions especially if there is pain associated with the rash.

I have eczema. I've gotten a rash in my groin that has not gotten better with cortisone cream. How do I know if it's a fungal rash?
Tinea cruris?: If fungal, this would be called tinea cruris. It's typically on both inner thighs as well as the groin. It's very itchy, brownish in color, and irregularly bordered. Cortisone may help the itchiness but would not help the rash to clear - that's one hint that it may not be eczema. If it's an irregular, brownish bilateral rash, you may want to try an anti fungal cream.

How do I know if I have eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis? I have had itchy, scaley rashes around my nose, chin, buttocks and even groin. Help!
A dermatologist: Well indeed some of these diseases have overlapping symptoms. I suggest you see a dermatologist and they should be able to guide you and give you a proper dermatologist. If in doubt, a skin biopsy can confirm it, but it is rarely required.
I have had severe itching in my groin (under scrotum to anus) for 15 years. Inside ears also itch off/on. Eczema cream helps but doesn't cure. Help!
See a dermatologist: You may have a type of neuropathy. An exam by a skin expert is essential. If "eczema cream" helps, be sure to review with the dermatologist. Sometimes we need to concede that no cure exists, then settle for the best control. You will need to be specific about all creams or other treatments
I have rash on my arms, chest, waist, groin & underarms. Doc says its eczema. Allergy report says I am NOT lactose intolerant. Can milk trigger eczema?
Eczema: Can be allergic or non-allergic, yes milk can trigger eczema in susceptible individuals, usually infants and children, and the allergy is to the milk protein rather, not to the milk sugar (the lactose). You need to be re-evaluated by the doctor who saw you, or have a second opinion, it's your right, see a dermatologist, goodluck

Bumps on groin: This sound very suspicious. Please see your doc asap for exam and testing. This is espeically true if you have had unprotected sex recently.
Cortisone: Consider a otc topical cortisone. If that doesn't help see your pcp for a possible prescription with stronger strength to treat the ezcema.
Need more help: First, if, in fact it is infected, you need to treat the infection with something. Hydrocolloid bandage is for healing open wounds It does work well, but not while there is an active infection going on. Once you treat the infection, it should heal up nicely.
