Statistically I wouldn't make a decision based on these 2 forms of birth control vis-v-vis ectopic given how little influence they would have. Other things like cysts, endometriosis, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, hernias can all cause those symptoms but most are detectable on a ct or a pelvic ultrasound.
