Ectodermal dysplasia: Ectodermal dysplasia consists of the triad of sparse hair, no (or few sweat) glands and absent (or a few ) teeth. It is a recessive x-linked transmission and therefore the full expression is seen in boys. Partial expression may be seen in female carriers due to random inactivation of the x chromosome.
