I recommend to avoid 'fast food' and man-made foods, in favor of whole foods, particularly organic foods. Some recommend raw almonds for the trace amounts of arsenic in them which are known to THICKEN the hair, not cause it to grow faster. Avoiding stress and cigarette smoke may also help. ...Read more

It's best to avoid sex in severe infections with inflammation, soreness, weeping fissures, etc -- but this is mostly for comfort, not partner protection. No worries. ...Read more

Instead try over the counter emollient lotions (aquaphor, eucerin, vaseline) on top of hydrocortisone cream OTC. This works best at bed time, then put cotton socks over your hands and feet. See a doc if this doesn't help or you think you could have an infection of the areas (called impetigo), call your doc. ...Read more

Can econazole cream for jock itch be used in combination with over-the-counter lotrimen jock itch spray or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) sprays to suppress itching?
Probably: Usually we don't want to use two different antifungal agents at the same time but there is probably no harm in doing so. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) spray is ok but there are other otc stuff such as tricalm, itch x that may be more effective. I would suggest that you space the application 30-minute or more apart and see your doctor if the problem persists. ...Read more
