I am using Ostrovit GH Booster, I bought this off eBay, it's in a white, purple and green tub and is a powder. I was wondering if this is safe?
Doubtful.: I'd be curious at least about any medications, supplements or even foods purchased off eBay. That's not to say that there aren't credible vendors there, but where's the documentation of quality assurance? Where's the prevention of tampering? Where's the standardization of the product? I can't vouch for the safety of such a purchase. ...Read more

My spine, in between two vertebrae, it's burning stinging with sharp pain. Nothing helps. EBay should I do?
Spinal pain: There are 24 movable vertebrae. Knowing which two would help. At your age a discitis is possible if you have had unclean IV injections or a serious systemic infection. A fever is frequent with this. The area is often tender and movement is painful. This is dangerous and needs and MRI and needle biopsy with culture. W/O more specific info my guesses are useless. ...Read more
Have dry, sensitive skin. Found 1 face cream that works but is Asian import sold at 1 expensive chain in us. Is it safe to buy it on site like ebay?
Investigate source: I generally recommend creams that list active and inactive ingredients, recognizing that even "natural" ingredients can still cause irritant or allergic reactions. I would be weary about purchases from unknown sources. ...Read more
Do teeth gap bands really work? I have researched them and ordered them from Ebay. Com and they were only for 5 dollars. I have watched reviews of this product many times of Youtube. Com and people say that they work. But I want to ask the professionals.
Ebay and youtube are not the places to seek medical or dental care products unless specifically recommended by your physican or dentist.
Use of this product to close a gap between the teeth (diastema) could lead to serious dental problems such as:
1. Loss of teeth from accelerated movement leading to bone loss and severe mobility. If you have any type of gum disease this would be particularly concerning.
2. Resorption of the roots of teeth due to accelerated tooth movement.
3. Crooked teeth due to the inability to control the direction of movement.
4. Opening of spaces behind the teeth being moved leading to a bigger esthetic problem
5. Gum problems if the elastics slip underneath the gum tissue.
Finally, this product causes a tipping movement without root repositioning. This will cause the gap to recur. Proper treatment for a anterior diastema is bodily movement of all the front teeth, where the teeth and roots remain vetical, in order to keep the spaces closed.
There are many reasons for spaces between teeth that this product cannot fix. If there is prominent tissue between the teeth then movement will not take place. If all the front teeth are flared out the rubber bands will only pull the front teeth together and not correct the flaring.
Please consult with your dentist to see if you can benefit from use of this product, and if he /s she approves, only use it under their direction. Ideally you should obtain an evaluation by an orthodontist to determine your options.
I also recommend that you read all the "fine print" regarding the use of the product as they try to absolve themselves of liability for the use of the product. ...Read more
I bought new earrings off ebay and didn't clean them. One of my ears bled when I was putting it on, what are my risk of getting HIV from the earrings?
Almost zero: If the risk of HIV infection after a needlestick injury with an hiv-contaminated hollow-bore needle, is approximately 0, 37% (or one chance out of 370), the risk of getting contaminated by a new earring is infinitesimal. I would say like the same risk of winning the jack pot of mega million lotto. Hope your earrings look nice: enjoy them, you are safe! ...Read more

Does home bleaching kits really turn yellow teeth white? I see many home bleaching kits on ebay and I was wondering if they really work. Like within 10 days?
The: The process of bleaching teeth, whether it is is the dental office under their supervision or over the counter products in the stores do whiten teeth. The result is usually proportional to the strength of the bleaching agent, the type of bleaching agent and the length of time that the bleaching agent is in contact with your teeth. Any medication has expiration dates, quality control issues, and reputability concerns. There are obviously some great bargains on ebay or the internet. However, there are also some risks. It is a gamble and only you can determine whether or not you are willing to take that gamble. ...Read more

Some thoughts...: Successful diets require that a person stick to a plan for months or years, so easier goals and small milestones are good. She must be happy with the foods she gets to eat, so severe calorie restriction is not successful. Eat vegetables with little sauce or dressing. Look for healthier oils. Don't use clarified butter (an animal fat) or eat too many egg yolks. Sugar is unhealthy; try to avoid it. ...Read more
