Pregnancy-safe oils: Castor oil and sweet almond oil may bring on early labor, if used earlier than term. Coconut oil and olive oil are safe in pregnancy. Topical vitamin E oil is felt to be safe, but may cause contact dermatitis in some people, as can topical aloe vera. Soy milk is higher in protein and calories. In Asia they eat lots of soy products and have healthy babies. So, drink the one that tastes best to you but make sure it is organic to avoid pesticides. Can we use almond oil for breast massage in pregnancy due reduce the pain n tenderness? I have breast tissue in my left breast checked by doctor.
In moderation but...: I was surprised to find a study suggesting that women who regularly used almond oil for abdominal massage during pregnancy had increased risk of premature birth but more research is needed.
