Antabuse (disulfiram) and wine: It should be okay to cook with a little wine while on antabuse (disulfiram). Most of the alcohol evaporates during cooking. If you take 250 mgs per day, or less, a very small amount of alcohol should not cause an Antabuse (disulfiram) reaction. Doubt it: It is unlikely. If you are of poor health, the stress may be severe enough; however, in healthy patients, it does not happen. I had one patient do 3-4 shots before they started having a reaction, they had the expected reaction of flushing and nausea which lasted 6 hours.
