Septoplasty yesterday morning. Breathe normal until 15 hours post op. Nose 100% blocked up and ears pop when i swallow. Makes me panic/ dizzy. Normal?
Yes, normal: This is caused by swelling both in the nose and in the nasopharynx, the area behind the nose and above the throat. If you can yawn or swallow to open up your eustachian tube and equalize, that is the most simple solution. Some people will use over-the-counter decongestantl to help with hopeful quick success. If this does not work, you see an md to ensure nothing worse is happening. ...Read more
Tinnitus in left ear decided to use ear drops. 9 days later ear full of wax after pulling out the goo , still ringing ear still blocked :-( syringe?
Syringe may help: They sell cleaning kits for ears in the pharmacies which have large syringes. I always advise to use warm soapy water for these types of cleanings. At the same time, I advise caution when doing anything with the ear canal & if you're not sure of what you are doing or if things are going the right way then you should stop and see your doctor. Much better that than to cause any sort of complication. ...Read more
