Early Vleeding Then No Period During Placebo
Missed3 pills first week, two in a row. Had 3 days light spotting mid cycle, no period during placebo week. Had sex using pullout method. Possible preg?
Low chances, but...: A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a withdrawal period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If a woman gets her normal regular withdrawal period, then she is not pregnant. ...Read more

I've been taking Camrese since March and now on third day of placebo pills but still no period, is this normal for first cycle?
It can be normal...: For any birth control on any cycle. Some birth control pills have been known for causing such light bleeding during the menstrual cycle that it is undetectable. So there is usually nothing to worry about. Of course, if pregnancy symptoms start to occur, just take a pregnancy test. ...Read more

I was previously on depo shot and switched to seasonique. I am on my placebo pills but still no period?
Probably normal: The effects of Depo can last a long time and sometimes there is no bleeding on the inactive pills of Seasonique. Neither case is cause for alarm, and a home pregnancy test is the only thing you might consider doing (more for peace of mind than an actual expectation it could be positive). ...Read more
I switched from nortrel 7/7/7 to Kariva and this is my first month on kariva, I'm on my placebo week with no period?
Adjustment: It can take up to 3 months for your body to adjust to a change in birth control pills. Kariva is a very low dose pill with only 20 micrograms of estrogen so it does not stimulate much lining to grow and therefore makes periods VERY short and light. In some cases this means just spotting for a day and more frequent missed periods. The progestin gives you contraception and is still providing this. ...Read more

Amenorrhea: Pregnancy is one possibility, so check a test. However, it is very common to have no period or a much lighter period on the pill. Its a very healthy side effect, but some women get concerned because of anxiety of being pregnant possibly. You can also have no period for up to 6 months or so after stopping a pill. Again, this is a common normal side effect. ...Read more

On Junel Fe 1/20 on the 3rd month. First period regular, second lighter, now none? Done with placebo week no period. Neg preg. Test. What's wrong?
Low dose: The Junel Fe 1/20 has a very low dose of estrogen so there is very little stimulation for the uterine lining to grow. Little lining means little to slough off with your period thus periods become very light and it is common to skip periods. This is safe and normal and for some very desirable. If it bothers you, discuss a higher dose pill with your doctor. It might be the answer for you. Hope this helps ...Read more

Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very normal on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time. If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen then consider using a different birth control method. Is it possible to ovulate a day after taking your last active bcp? I have stretchy egg white discharge but no period and I'm 4days into the placebos?
