Hello Doc, I missed my period by 9 days now, negative pregnancy test. But having lower back pain & extreme legs pain. Please suggest.
Missed period: Wouldn't hurt to try another pregnancy test, just to make sure. The pain may mean that your period is about to start today. You can try a heating pad on your lower abdomen. I often recommend ibuprofen, 600 mg every 6 hrs for that kind of cramping pain. You may need to stay home today and lie down for a few hours. Good luck. ...Read more
Why am I having leg cramps during pregnancy?
No one really knows why pregnant women get more leg cramps. It's possible that your leg muscles are tired from carrying around all of your extra weight. Or they may be aggravated by the pressure your expanding uterus puts on the blood vessels that return blood from your legs to your heart and the nerves that lead from your trunk to your legs.

Hi, I have early pregnancy symptom. Last time period is on august 30th. On sep month 16th I have severe thigh pain, fever for two days. Chance to conceive?
Take a test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more
Common: It can be both from the increase in weight as well as the change in the way you move related to the change in the center of gravity with the weight gain. The weight gain happens faster than you can develop muscles to adjust to the change in the way you use your body. In addition later in the pregnancy you will develop a hormone called relaxin which loosens the ligaments that allow the birth. ...Read more

If I have restless leg syndrome during pregnancy, will my symptoms disappear soon after delivery?
Sometimes: Restless legs syndrome has been known to be associated with low ferritin stores in the body. Ferritin is a protein that stores iron and releases it in a controlled fashion. Health Class: Your symptoms do not in any way represent pregnancy. You have tested 24 times? Perhaps you should take a few minutes to learn that true early pregnancy is ASYMPTOMATIC until the fetus is big enough to make HCG and have a placenta. That means 'early' signs are not pregnancy but something else, usually. Leg cramping, a sign of the last weeks of pregnancy is not early pregnancy. Ever. ...Read more

First, as a physician I am going to speak very frankly to you. If you are seven months pregnant and not seeing an obstetrician then this choice is putting your life and the baby's life at risk.
