6 wks w/ hgc level at 16000. no evidence of baby on U/S & no evidence of extra uterine pregnancy. no symptom of ectopic either. too early?
No sadly not normal: If there is no evidence of pregnancy and the pregnancy hormone levels are persistent in the 16k area for as long as stated, there is little to no likelihood for a normal pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy (in the tubes or elsewhere other than the uterus) is still possible but not likely, either. Consider a D&C by surgery or medical evacuation as the risk of infection increases with time. ...Read more
