Earliest You Can Get A Positive Pregnancy Test
See below.: The earliest pregnancy test you can take is a quantitative blood test. It can detect HCG 8-9 days after fertilization of the egg. If it shows a level less than 25, then it is equivocal and might need to be repeated in a couple of days. Visit your doctor if there is concern.

I read online that a small percentage (10-15%) of women can get a positive pregnancy test 1-2 days past ovulation. Possible? Impossible?
Pregnancy: Impossible. To test positive the egg has to be impregnated. It then has to travel through the fallopian tubes into the uterus. It then has to land on the wall of the uterus and begin to grow. It then has to grow to a certain size to be creating and leaking HCG hormone so that the mother's blood supply can pick it up and thus then be testable. The body does not know a pregnancy has occurred.
A doctors post said that you can get a positive pregnancy test result before implantation? Possible?
A doctors post on here said you can get a positive pregnancy test result before implantation. How? Explain...
Too early to be +ve: Implantation happens about a week after ovulation but before you can get a positive home pregnancy test or blood pregnancy test. An implanting embryo is making tiny amounts of pregnancy hormone (HCG) but not enough to detect in your blood or your urine, until the levels get higher about 10 days to 2 weeks after ovulation - three days or less before your missed period if you're regular.
See below: Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. Pregnancy and some tumors produce positive results.
