Upper endoscopy: It is not normal to have pain for days after an upper endoscopy. Not sure what was done during the procedure, but I would recommend calling the Doctor Who did the endoscopy to discuss it. If the pain is severe or if you are febrile, just go to the emergency room. URI: I'm sorry you're ill. It sounds like an earlier upper respiratory infection but you may have an early strep infection in the throat as well. At your age it's possible that this might be mononucleosis. Take Tylenol (acetaminophen) and drink plenty of fluids and if it doesn't go away in two or three days see your local physician. ...Read more
