It depnds on its siz: You should monitor the size of your lymph gland. If it is less than 1.5 cm, it may not be anything to worry about. But if it is getting bigger and gets to be 2 cm or larger, then you should consult your doctor, as a biopsy may be desirable to find the cause. Over the counter: If it is viral it will get better on its own with over the counter medications for the discomfort and throat sprays plus time. If it is bacterial (strep throat ex), then you will need antibiotics. If not better in a few days on its own, see MD to have strep ruled out. ...Read more
