As long as: theres no change in hearing or severe pain I think you're OK to wait and see if it goes away. It's not uncommon to have a little discomfort after earwax disimpaction. In the meantime keep the headphones out of your ears or use the "over the ear" type of headphones. And remember- no Qtips! ...Read more

Don't worry but call: Call your surgeon and let them know about your symptoms. You may have some persistent fluid in the ear (serous otitis media) which is not a major problem.
