I have a UTI turning into a kidney infection. Also believe I have swollen lymph nodes behind my ears. I'm on medication but still feel bad. Normal?
No infx is normal.: U need to complete the entire course of antibiotics (2 wks?), no matter what, b/c any infection is not normal. A UTI can spread up the ureters to the kidney, causing pyelonephritis, which is serious b/c the kidneys r very vascular & the infx can get into the bloodstream. Not sure about the lymph node behind the ear; it may be from prior infection & flared up w/ ur immune system now in overdrive.GL ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
