Is it possible to get tinnitis and severe symptoms from a foreign object stuck in my ear lobe?

Anything is, but . .: A foreign body in your ear lobe would not be expected to produce tinnitus or change in hearing. I don't know what you mean by severe symptoms. Anything is possible, but tinnitus and a process on your ear lobe are not likely to be related. ...Read more

Local infection: Could be a local infection, especially if sensitive to touch. Warm compress can help it come to a head. Keep area clean and it should diminish with time. If not, see your MD! ...Read more

Cysts: Most cysts are benign. Have your doctor follow them for size and consistency, but if they remain unchanged don't be concerned. If they grow or persist, your doctor may do a biopsy, just to be sure that it is benign. ...Read more

? sebaceous cyst?: You should have your PCP or a dermatologist look at this.... it may be a lymph node, or it may be a gland in the skin that gets inflamed and infected on and off (a sebaceous cyst). Your parotid gland is IN FRONT of your ear, so I doubt it is a problem with that. But having a doctor examine it is your best course of action. They will probably want to biopsy it or excise it. ...Read more
