My 13 month old son has stopped being able to weight bear and is acting as if he has pain in knees this has been at the time as an ear infection he?
Anytime a child stops weight bearing especially close to an infection they MUST be seen. It may be an irritation in the joint fluid due to the immune response of infection but it could also be a true infection in the joint - which is an emergency in children. Infected?: I am a dentist and we are aware that patients with joint replacements need to take an antibiotic prior to dental appointments to prevent infection around the artificial joint. The fact that the antibiotic made your knee feel better makes me wonder if you don't have an infection around the joint.
