Ear Hurts When I Push On Tragus
My ear hurts really bad, inside and out. The tragus hurts, my ear feels like its blocked, it hurts to pull on the earlobe, the surrounding area hurts?
Go to urgent care/MD: The symptoms you describe are likely related to an external ear infection most likely and possible middle ear infection. These are best treated with a good examination and possible cleaning of the ear canal, ear drops, and to avoid water in the ear. You should go to your local urgent care, your primary physician or see an ENT doctor as soon as possible to get the right diagnosis and treatment.
Hi my left ear hurts where my tragus is and it dosent go all the way down its just at the top but at the top of my jaw line what could it be?
Your age & location?: Please ask your question again & fill out essential details on your profile, like your age and location. The list of causes of a symptom or disease can vary by region or country and by age group and gender. Plus, you must be 16 to post on this forum (be honest!). Also when asking the question, tell us how long has your ear been hurting? Do you use Q-tips? Have you been swimming? So ask again.
I have a bump on my ear a little above my outer Tragus and my inner ear hurts and it feels like there water in it right now. Whay could this be?
Otitis externa: Water left in the ear canals can lead to fungal and/or bacterial infection. The water may get into the ear canals when swimming or showering. See doctor to get this treatment. In the future, put a drop of rubbing alcohol into ear canals if there is water there. But don't this now since this may really hurt you.See 1 more doctor answer
Headaches?: Sometimes it can be muscle tension or spasms.
I am 22 y in age and suffering from chronic cold. My ear hurts when I burp or drink. I feel like ear is pushing out because of pressure inside. .
Inner ear canal pain. Doesn't hurt constantly but often. Sharp. Hurts when push on tragus too. Mostly right eat sometimes both. Flying in 6 days...
Need exam: Your symptoms sound like you might have temporomandibular joint pain dysfunction or TMD. If you can pinch your nose and pop your ears, you should be okay to fly, but you should have someone check you for TMD as this is a very common disorder and it's very treatable. Good luck and happy flying.
This: This question was asked three days ago. If your ear still hurts when you read this, contact your doctor so that he or she can examine your ear to find out the cause of the pain. Once the cause is known, an appropriate treatment can be offered.
Don't use one anymore: As long as one is not bleeding, dizzy, have hearing loss or any major issue they will be ok. Just don't use a qtip anymore for anything other than the outside of your ear. See your primary or an ENT if the pain doesn't get better.
Probably not the ear: Most likely it's not your ear. I'd guess it's your jaw an jaw joint. There is no reason your ear should hurt but maybe for some reason your jaw and muscles around it are irritated. Do you chew gum when you get on the bus? Are you stressed and clenching your teeth? Are your teeth bad? If concerned, see an ENT doctor.
Inner vs outer infxn: Outer ear infection=swimmer's ear can be quite painful. Mild case can be tried at home using vinegar+water (1 to 2 ratio mixture) drops: 3-4 drops 4x/day may help. If severe, need to see doc. Inner ear infection often not as painful, but often requires antibiotic. Tmj can also cause ear pain. Motrin/tylenol/aleve helps pain in general, but I can't tell what you have now. Consult doc. Good luck.
Take pain meds: To start. If you have sinus congestion or a cold, ear pain may be from a middle ear infection or unequal pressure due to a blocked Eustacean tube. If pain persists, then get exam and possible antibiotics, Ear pain with manipulation of the ear lobe is usually Swimmer's ear and Rx ear drops are indicated. If chewing = pain, then dysfunction of TM joint. Avoid yawning and chewing hard foods.
Ear Pain: It means you need to see a doctor. How is it that your ears hurt all the time but you have sought no medical attention? What do you mean by hurt? Do you mean pressure, burning, tender on tough, outside or inside ear? Please see a doctor. We can't tell you why you have pain all the time without knowing anything about you.
Time for visit: Sounds like a middle ear infection. You need to see your doc or someone at a clinic to have this taken care of. Several things can cause ear pain, but this one needs attention soon to get the best results.
See a doctor: Ear pain can indicate an infection in the ear and should be evaluated and treated.
TMJ syndrome: The most ear pain is not caused by an inner ear infection it caused by TMJ. The temporo-mandibular joint is located extremely close to the ear canal and middle ear and mimics year problem. Sometimes, people will think that they have a sinus infection because of the combination of facial pressure and ear pain that they experience due to TMJ. See your PCP for diagnosis.See 1 more doctor answer
